«We return with the same desire and enthusiasm to offer the best quality and the best product in Barcelona»
«We wanted a relaxed, happy, comfortable space that makes to the client and the product shine»
Since the reopening of Tuesday, June 9, we can once again enjoy the Chef’s «Patatas bravas», oysters from El Ebro Delta, fresh cockles, anchovies, the tomato salad, the ugly omelette over coca bread with tomato, tasty seafood rice, the Galician sirloin with butter in the Café de Paris style, its famous «dishes to share» where the prawn tacos with pico de gallo and chili mayonnaise and the chicken taco stand out… AND a lot of products coming from the sea. For the chef, the challenge of this new stage of La Xarxa is to gradually improve the menu offer, touching more and more quality products and making the experience in his restaurant always a celebration:
«I want people to come to La Xarxa as if they always have something to celebrate»
Questions to Carlos Allué:
As chef of the Varela group, how do you face this new stage in La Xarxa? What are you standing for?
C.A. – I face it with enthusiasm and passion, this restaurant is my baby. «I want people to come to La Xarxa as if they always have something to celebrate»
What is different and what remains the same as the previous La Xarxa? Location, service, menu.
C.A. – We have respected the wood, the refrigerators, the distribution of the previous space and we have put our essence: casual air, happy lighting and making the client and the food to stand out. As for the service we are now five people, three of them are in the kitchen and six more people are distributed between the lunchroom and the terrace. And as for the menu, we will start with what we know everyone liked at the previous La Xarxa ”Rice, prawns, clams, little fried fish like sonsos… Beach product»
For those clients who have already been at La Xarxa or the new ones to come… What are the 3 dishes that we cannot forget to order from the menu?
C.A – The prawn tacos with pico de gallo and ají mayonnaise, the bull tail with mashed potato and the cheesecake.
And to finish a good meal, nothing better than a good dessert. Without sort of a doubt the bread with chocolate, extra virgin olive oil and Maldon salt, the homemade cheesecake and the cheese selection are the number ones. Bon Appetite! Lunches and dinners from Monday to Saturday. Sunday closed. Reservations: 932 00 13 48 Address: Plaza Molina 2 / Text: Clara De Nadal Trias
